Benzac-Ac 2.5 % gel 60 gm contains benzoyl peroxide, which eliminates acne-causing bacteria on the skin and unplugs blocked pores (blackheads and whiteheads). 

What Benzac-Ac 2.5% is used for:

• Benzoyl peroxide is used to treat acne.
• It acts as an antiseptic, reducing the number of germs (bacteria) on the surface of your skin.
• It is typically one of the first treatments prescribed for mild to moderate acne.

Do not use Benzac-Ac 2.5%:

• Benzoyl peroxide is not suited for all people.
• If you have ever had an allergic response to benzoyl peroxide or any other medication, tell your doctor before using this treatment to ensure your safety.
• If you are currently pregnant, plan to get pregnant, or are breastfeeding. 
• Don't also use if you have injured or broken skin where you need to apply the therapy.

Warnings & Precautions of Benzac-Ac 2.5%:

• Stop using Benzac-Ac 2.5 % If you have any allergic or skin responses to any of the ingredients in this gel, such as skin itching, skin redness, shortness of breath, skin rash, swelling of the face or neck, reduced blood pressure, and dizziness.
• This drug should not be applied to your eyes, nose, or mouth, lips, or any areas of broken skin since it may cause irritation.
• If this happens, make sure to flush the area thoroughly with water.
• Wash your hands after using this product. Benzoyl peroxide can bleach hair and clothes.
• To avoid excessive dryness or skin irritation, do not use any other acne drugs unless your doctor or pharmacist recommends it. 
• Avoid being overexposed to sunlight and other UV light sources.
• If you will be exposed to sunlight or other UV light sources, use a non-greasy, broad-spectrum sunscreen with a high SPF value. 

Possible Side Effects of Benzac-Ac 2.5%:

• Itching.
• Erythema.
• Burning sensation.
• Peeling.
• Dry skin. 
• Swelling.
• Burning.
• Severe sunburn.

Other medicines and Benzac-Ac 2.5%:

• Avoid applying any other topical medicine to the same region within 1 hour of using benzoyl peroxide.
• Otherwise, benzoyl peroxide may not operate well.

How to use Benzac-Ac 2.5%?

• Wash your hands.

• Wet the area you intend to treat.

• Place a tiny amount of the product on your hands.

• Smooth it over the damaged area.

• Keep the wash on your skin for no more than 1 to 2 minutes.

• Wash your face well with water.

• Gently pat your skin dry.

• Wash your hands again.

How to store Benzac-Ac 2.5%?

• Keep in a cool, dry area away from sunlight.

What if you forget to take Benzac AC gel?

• If you are unsure how long to use BENZAC AC, see your doctor or pharmacist.
• If you forget to use it, use it as advised as soon as you remember.

Can I leave Benzac AC 2.5 gel overnight?

• Leave on all day, then wash the afflicted area and reapply in the evening.
• Leave it on all night.
• Persons with sensitive skin should be advised to apply the gel once a day before going to bed.
• Normal use may result in a moderate burning sensation at first, followed by minor redness and peeling within a few days.

Does benzac ac remove scars?

• Benzoyl peroxide is the most effective treatment for acne-related red spots (post-inflammatory erythema, or PIE).
• For darker scars (post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation PIH), lightening treatments such as mandelic acid or hydroquinone are preferable.

Should I moisturise after benzoyl peroxide?

• Traditional moisturizers cannot be used with or over benzoyl peroxide.
• They reduce efficacy and cause Acne Med to go into the eye area.
• Those who require more hydration in the evening could apply a water-based moisturizing gel or serum under their Acne Med.
