Product Description:
Iron sucrose is an iron treatment that is used in adults used to treat iron deficiency anemia.
Uses:
Iron sucrose is given to adults with iron deficiency anemia and chronic kidney disease.
used with adults with iron deficiency anemia when iron taken by mouth is not effective.
Precautions and warnings:
Tell your physician if you use other medicines or have other medical conditions or allergies.
Tell your physician if you have ever had:
high blood pressure.
an allergic reaction to iron injected into a vein.
Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant.
Having iron deficiency anemia during pregnancy may increase the risk of premature
birth or low birth weight. The benefit of treating this condition with iron sucrose may outweigh any risks to the baby.
If you are breastfeeding- tell your doctor if you notice diarrhea or constipation in the nursing baby.
Side effects:
nausea.
dizziness.
high blood pressure.
flushing .
low phosphorus levels.

How to Use:
Iron sucroseis injected into a vein by a healthcare provider.
Tell your medical caregivers if you feel any burning or pain when Iron sucrose is injected.
You will be watched for at least 30 minutes to make sure you do not have an allergic reaction.
This medicine is usually given in 2 doses- 7 days apart.
You may need frequent medical tests- even if you have no symptoms.
Storage Conditions:
Store at room temprature.
Don’t refrigerate.
Keep this medicine out of reach of children.
Store in the original package to protect from moisture.
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date. which is stated on the box.
The expiry date refers to the last day of the month.
