JP Melatonin™ 5mg contains the active ingredient melatonin with 5mg per each soft-gel capsule. JP Melatonin™ 5mg can be used for treatment of Jet-lag in adults. Jet-lag can be recognized by sleep disturbances- daytime tiredness- fatigue- disturbances- daytime tiredness- fatigue- mild mental impairment- irritability and digestive system disturbances experienced after flying. How JP Melatonin™ 5mg works: Melatonin is a hormone produced by the body that synchronizesbody’s biological day. The biological rhythm can be disturbed by travelling across time zones. This is known as a jetting across time zones. This is known as a jet lag. The symptoms and their severity vary between individuals but are generally worse last longer- the more time zones are crossed. JP Melatonin™ 5mg can help restore day-and-night night rhythm and reduce the symptoms of disturbed sleep patterns. You must talk to a doctor if you do not feel better or worsen after 5 days. JP Melatonin™ Helps improve sleep quality related to: Primary insomnia (insomnia which is not due to some secondary cause) Age-related insomnia Jet lag Shift work Post-traumatic brain injury Neuro-degenerative disorders How to use: Take JP Melatonin™ soft-gel capsules exactly as directed in the product leaflet. The recommended dose is one capsule taken daily by mouth- after food- 1-2 hours before bedtime. This dosage may be continued for up to thirteen weeks. Caution & Warnings: Do not take JP Melatonin™ soft-gel capsules- If: You are allergic (hypersensitive) to the active substance Melatonin or to any of the other ingredients of JP Melatonin™ soft-gel capsules. Taking other medicines: Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking- have recently taken or might take any other medicines. These medicines include: - Fluvoxamine (used for the treatment of depression and obsessive-compulsive disorder)- Psoralens (used in the treatment of skin disorders e.g. psoriasis)- Cimetidine (used in the treatment of stomach problems such as ulcers)- Quinolones and Rifampicin (used in the treatment of bacterial infections)- Estrogens (used in contraceptives or hormone replacement therapy) and Carbamazepine (used in the treatment of epilepsy). - Adrenergic agonists/antagonists (such as certain types of medicines used to control blood pressure by constricting blood vessels- nasal decongestants- blood pressure lowering medicines)- opiate agonists/antagonists (such as medicinal products used in the treatment of drug addiction)- Prostaglandin inhibitors (such as Non-steroidal Anti-inflammatory medicines)- antidepressant medication- tryptophan and alcohol. - Benzodiazepines and Non-benzodiazepine hypnotics (medicines used to induce sleep such as Zaleplon- Zolpidem and Zopiclone) - Thioridazine (for the treatment of schizophrenia) and Imipramine (for the treatment of depression). Pregnancy and breast-feeding: Do not take JP Melatonin™ 5mg if you are pregnant- think you may be pregnant- trying to become pregnant or breast-feeding. Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine. Driving and using machines: Melatonin may cause drowsiness. If you are affected- you should not drive or operate machinery. If you suffer from continued drowsiness- then you should consult your doctor Ingredients: Each soft-gel capsule contains 5mg Melatonin.
